| The candidate will be a key team member
overseeing the development of RF and Optical
products and systems for high speed data and
video transmission networks. This position
will be responsible for managing an engineering
product development group which is part of
a larger organization responsible for product
development for global broadband transmission
networks. The engineering manager will report
to the director of engineering. |
| Responsibilities:
|
1· Functional R&D management of an engineering
group of approximately 12-15 engineers and
technicians
2. Day to day management of a multi-disciplinary
group of engineers primarily focused on RF/Optical
product development for fiber and coax networks
3· Work closely with Atlanta, GA based engineering
and Juarez, Mexico based manufacturing operations
4· Scope and staff projects with appropriate
personnel to meet the needs of various programs
in parallel, managing priorities with product
management
5· Develop and train staff to maintain a leading
edge development organization
6· Motivate and track progress of individuals
in the group and projects as a whole ongoing
to maintain a challenging but successful development
environment
7· Work across business functions (manufacturing,
product management, finance, operations, marketing)
as necessary to deliver products within the
scope of the business
8· Provide leadership and guidance within
defined Scientific Atlanta product development
processes, offering process improvements as
necessary

Optics Engineer |
| Job
Description: |
| The candidate will be a key team member
in the research and development of RF and
Optical products and systems for high speed
data and video transmission networks. Research
responsibilities will include building external
relationships with OEM/ODM vendors for RF/Optics
products. These products include CATV photo
diode receivers, laser transmitters, RF gain
blocks, and optical amplifiers. Development
responsibilities will include communicating
externally gathered knowledge to help internal
teams meet schedule, cost, performance and
quality requirements. This position will require
extensive knowledge of systems specifications,
systems design, troubleshooting, technology
investigations and system verification testing. |
| Responsibilities:
|
· Evaluate, test, and recommend CATV photo
diode receivers, laser transmitters, RF gain
blocks, and optical amplifiers. Including
CWDM and DWDM optical multiplexers and de-multiplexers.
· Engineering leadership to drive requirements
and specifications based on industry standards
and norms, to help guide internal R&D
efforts
· Hands-on lead position that will be working
both internally with design teams and externally
component qualification and assist with customers
in test environments
· Lead design efforts in cooperation with
international marketing, operations and support
teams for international markets

will also lead project teams to meet schedule,
cost, performance and quality requirements. |

· Responsible for leading the design, development
and testing of RF amplifiers and circuits
for broadband transmission network products
· Oversee communications system design and
Analog/RF/Optical circuit development for
Cable TV applications over Hybrid Fiber Coax
networks
· Engineering leadership to drive cost reduction
activities including specification development,
vendor interfacing and qualification testing
· Lead design teams in a project R&D team
environment in cooperation with international
marketing, operations and support teams for
international markets

| The candidate will be a team member in the
development of power supplies for RF and Optical
products for high speed data and video transmission
networks. Development responsibilities may
include power supply specification, qualification,
design, troubleshooting, technology investigations,
cost reductions, system and compliance testing. |
| Responsibilities:
|
·· Responsible for contributing to the design,
development and testing of power supplies
for broadband transmission network products
· Will include design of individual power
modules as well as integration and test into
overall amplifier assemblies
· Engineering support for cost reduction activities
including specification development, vendor
interfacing and qualification testing
· Work in a project R&D team environment
in cooperation with international marketing,
operations and support teams for international
markets

Senior Embedded Developing Engineer |
| Responsibilities:
|
1) Well understand the Embedded H/W &
S/W Developing architecture
2) Develop Embedded S/W in ARM Firmware Suite
/ KEIL C51 / FPGA
3) Has comprehensive understanding with the
specified software modules/features being
charged by himself/herself and do requirement
gathering, technical analysis, high/low level
design, coding work for those modules/features
4) Software maintenance work, such as problem
identify/fixing/verification, new feature
development, etc
5) Well communication, such as idea exchange,
presentation to other team members
6) Attend doc/code review with careful preparation
and give out helpful comments |
| Requirements |
1) B.S or above, major in CS/EE or related
subjects
2) Hands on experience in embedded software
design, development, optimization, testing
and debugging.
3) At least 2~5 year rich developing experience
on ARM / KEIL C51/ FPGA
4) Be skill in VC++
5) Background knowledge on telecommunication
is preferable
6) Experience on JSP, B/S architecture, Java
Applet is preferable
7) Being capable of reading technical specification
in English fluently; Can write report in English
